Carl Sagan

Carl Sagan was an astronomer, cosmologist, author, and science popularizer. He is best known for his contributions to the scientific research of extraterrestrial life, his popular science books including Pale Blue Dot, and of course his award-winning TV series Cosmos.

  1. Sagan and Hawking were both sampled in several songs created by John
    Boswell for his Symphony of Science project. 
  2. Boswell’s Sabbath number of three is not, strictly speaking, correct. Samples count as a one-way collaboration: Sagan and Hawking are linked to Boswell through “A Glorious Dawn” but it’s not quite right to say that Boswell is linked to Hawking. The Erdős Bacon Sabbath Project would be grateful for suggestions on how to correct Boswell’s Sabbath path. 
  3. “Keep Talking” features samples of Hawking’s voice taken from a BT television advert.
